The Greater Hartford Transit District, has embarked on a project aimed at improving signage and wayfinding at Hartford’s historic Union Station. The effort will help to improve connectedness, awareness, navigation, and the overall experience for regular and new visitors to the Station.

A Halloween special round-trip CTrail train ride between Hartford and Springfield. Train leaves Hartford at 10:56 am, returns to Hartford at 12:39 pm

Tickets: $5.00 per person except children 2 and under ride free. Tickets can be purchased online at: amherstrail.org/kids-on-track, or in the Union Station concourse on the morning of the event, if seats are still available.

Costumes are encouraged – for everyone!

There will be entertainment on the train, and trick or treat stops in Union station upon return.
** Please Note: All passengers must be in the main concourse of Hartford Union Station by 10:30 am on October 26 for check-in **
The Union Station parking lot will be offering a special $2 event parking rate

 

 

The Greater Hartford Transit District

The Greater Hartford Transit District (“the District”) is a quasi-municipal corporation operating under the authority of Chapter 103a of the Connecticut General Statutes. There are currently sixteen member towns represented by appointees who collectively form the Board of Directors. GHTD has broad powers to acquire, operate, finance, plan, develop, maintain and otherwise provide all forms of land transportation and related services including the development or renewal of transportation centers and parking facilities. The agency serves as a conduit for federal and state funding of transit related capital projects, provides ADA Paratransit Service, and owns Hartford Union Station and the ADA Paratransit Operations and Maintenance Facility in East Hartford.
